I debated about buying this course for a while. I wanted something to help me with some work situations so I bought this. I was amazed at how excellent and helpful it is. The professor has a very nice style and is easy to watch and listen to. The course content is organized and logical. The advice was really helpful to me. Among other things, the professor covered interpersonal conflict, negotiating styles,workplace cultures and strategies for avoiding conflict.There are vignettes by actors to illustrate some of the situations which break up the lecture format nicely. I found this course very worthwhile and helpful. I wish I'd gotten it sooner.
Professor Michael dues has nearly 40 years of experience teaching Conflict Resolution and it shows. This is an excellent series of 30-minute sessions that provide a good understanding of the nature of conflict and how to deal with it. Conflict is a normal human activity and it needs to be dealt with in realistic ways.I'm a certified mediator and I will be facilitating a Basic Mediation Training session in late June at Green River College in Kent, Washington. I plan on using some of the lectures for that training.I highly recommend the series. It's worth the cost.
Most of the information was common sense. Perhaps helpful for younger people.
