About the Author

Raven Grimassi is a Neo-Pagan scholar and award-winning author of more than eighteen books on Witchcraft, Wicca, and Neo-Paganism. He has been devoted to the study and practice of witchcraft for over forty years. Raven is co-founder and co-director of the Ash, Birch, and Willow tradition.

Grimassi’s background includes training in old forms of witchcraft as well as Brittic Wicca, the Pictish-Gaelic tradition, Italian Witchcraft, and Celtic Traditionalist Witchcraft. Raven was also a member of the Rosicrucian Order, and studied the Kabbalah through the First Temple of Tifareth under Lady Sara Cunningham.  

Raven currently lives in New England with his wife and co-author Stephanie Taylor-Grimassi. Together they direct The Fellowship of the Pentacle, a modern Mystery School devoted to preserving pre-Christian European spirituality.

About the Author

Lawrence F. Locke is Professor Emeritus of Education and Physical Education at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. A native of Connecticut, he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Springfield College and a Ph.D. from Stanford University. He has written extensively on the production and utilization of research on teaching and teacher education. He has authored a number of books designed to assist non-specialists with the tasks of reading and understanding research. After many years residing in Sunderland, MA he now makes his home on Cape Cod, but with his wife, Professor Lorraine Goyette, he has spent much of each year writing, running, and exploring the Beartooth Mountains at Sky Ranch in Reed Point, MT.

Waneen Wyrick Spirduso is the Mauzy Regents Professor Emerita in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education at The University of Texas at Austin. She is a native of Austin and holds bachelor’s and doctoral degrees from The University of Texas and a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her research focuses on the effects of aging and the mechanisms of motor control. She has been a prolific contributor to the research literature and has authored textbooks related to research methods and aging. She taught research methods and directed student research for more than four decades and has received numerous research grants from the federal government and foundations. Stephen J. Silverman is Professor of Education and Chair of the Department of Biobehavioral Sciences at Teachers College, Columbia University. His research focuses on teaching and learning in physical education and on methods for conducting research in field settings. He has authored numerous research articles and chapters, and is coauthor of a number of books. He has served as editor of two research journals, is an experienced research consultant, has directed graduate students, and has, for many years, taught classes in research methods, statistics, and measurement. Alain Abran, PhD, is Professor and the Director of the Software Engineering Research Laboratory at Université du Québec (Canada). Dr. Abran is the Co-Executive Editor of the SWEBOK project. About the Author

Guy Delisle is the award-winning author of the travelogues Burma Chronicles,Jerusalem, Pyongyang, and Shenzhen as well as the 2013 graphic novelA User's Guide to Neglectful Parenting. He spent ten years working in animation, which allowed him to learn about movement and drawing, and he is now focusing on his cartooning. In 2008-2009, he accompanied his wife, an administrator for Doctors Without Borders, on a yearlong posting in Jerusalem. He lives in the south of France with his family.

I’ve been always interested in knowing more about the Holy City. I discovered this book in our high school library. The easy comic book like narrative immediately caught my attention because of the many facts it presented, first hand and easy to understand. I immediately wanted the Kindle edition.

I have now read all of Guy de Lisle's books, and they are a continuing education about places in the world I may never see in person. I love his style, his low-key approach, his subtle humor. He has taught me so much about the issues we all face in the world, and I would recommend these books to anyone with any curiosity at all about peace, war, isolation and its effects. Just outstanding. And my nephew loved this one too, a continuation of conversations we have had about Israel. Thank you!

I've been buying all the Guy Delisle travel memoirs. They're interesting and relaxing. His experiences feel lived-in.

Perfect description of living in Jerusalem as an expat.

This comic account is both funny and on point! Highly recommend this graphic novel both as entertainment and accuracy of what it's really like living between Israelis and Palestinians.
